TRADITIONAL PROPERS FOR THE LATIN MASS IN TEXT FORMAT

INTRODUCTION

Early in the Year of Our Lord 2000, some members of the CTNGreg listserv group began a project to make available on the web all of the Propers for the Traditional Latin Mass in both the English and Latin languages. This project has been undertaken as an Act of Christian Charity by and for those who love the Traditional Mass of the Roman Rite. We ask for your prayers and the blessing of our elected patron St. Jerome as we continue with this project.

As the project has evolved, we are now working on two sets of the Propers:

1) the first in text format, which you find here, and

2) the second in an XML format from which pdf files can be produced (a link will be made available here when the XML files are available). In the distant future, hopefully the XML files will be available in other translations in addition to English.

Viewers of this site are encouraged to copy the text of the Propers and paste them in their word processors where they can be reformatted for use at your parish or chapel. Fonts may be freely changed, but be sure you use a font which has the æ, Æ, and other ligatures necessary for some of the Latin words. All of the texts contained on this site are free of copyright restrictions and may be freely used. Please copy, print, and distribute for the Glory of God. However, we would appreciate an acknowledgement and reference to this page and to the CTNGreg cite (see link below).

Use the links below to direct you to the Liturgical Calendar for the 1962 Missal and the text files for the appropriate Sunday or Feast.
