Feast of the Most Holy Trinity

First Class

White

Introit: Tob. 12.6; Ps. 8. 2

Blessed be the holy Trinity, and undivided Unity: we will give glory to Him, because He hath shewn His mercy to us. Ps. O Lord our Lord, how wonderful is Thy name in all the earth! Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Collect

Almighty and everlasting God, who hast given to Thy servants, in their confessing of the true faith, to bear witness to the glory of the eternal Trinity, and to adore the Unity in might of Its majesty: vouchsafe, we beseech Thee, that our steadfast holding to that same faith may be our defence in all adversity.

Epistle: Rom. 11. 33-36

A reading from the Epistle of the blessed Apostle Paul to the Romans.

O the depth of the riches of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God! How incomprehensible are His judgements, and how unsearchable His ways! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been His counsellor? Or who hath first given to Him, and recompense shall be made him? For of Him, and by Him, and in Him, are all things: to Him be glory for ever. Amen.

Gradual: Dan. 3. 55-56

Blessed art Thou, O Lord, who beholdest the depths, and sittest upon the Cherubim. Blessed art Thou, O Lord, in the firmament of heaven, and worthy of praise for ever.

Alleluia: Dan. 3. 52

Alleluia, alleluia. Blessed art Thou, O Lord God of our fathers, and worthy of praise for ever. Alleluia.

Gospel: Matt. 28. 18-20

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Saint Matthew.

At that time, Jesus said to His disciples: All power is given to Me in heaven and in earth. Going, therefore, teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.

Offertory: Tob. 12. 6

Blessed be God the Father, and the only-begotten Son of God, and also the Holy Spirit; because He hath shewn His mercy towards us.

Secret

Sanctify, we beseech Thee, O Lord our God, the sacrifice which, calling upon Thy holy name, we offer up unto Thee: and, in virtue thereof, make us worthy to be ourselves accounted an acceptable offering in Thy sight for evermore. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the same Holy Ghost, God, world without end. Amen.

Communion: Tob. 12. 6

We bless the God of heaven, and before all living we will praise Him; because He has shewn His mercy to us.

Postcommunion

May our having received this most holy Sacrament, while confessing our faith in the holy and eternal Trinity, profit us, O Lord our God, to health both of soul and body. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the same Holy Ghost, God, world without end. Amen.
