Ahh...there's nothing quite like six miles of steep dirt roads in the back of a small station wagon. |
In fact, the trip was so exciting that Rosemary could hardly wait to find the closest outhouse...I don't think she likes it when I try to follow her inside. |
We were so excited to get out of the car that we decided to go on a long, arduous hike right away. Here's Caroline, looking like the rugged outdoorswoman she is. |
Rosemary couldn't help herself. She broke into an Eddie Bauer-esque pose with her water bottle, as she tried to re-hydrate so she could visit the fabulous facilities more quickly. |

It was all in a day's work for Rebecca. |
But what is this?? The trio appears to have spotted something! |
Aha! The ideal place to pose for their next photo shoot! |

Wearied by their mountaintop photoshoot, the three heroines collapse on the ground. Or are they simply worshipping the Mountain Gods? |
But they couldn't have been that exhausted. They were back for more the following morning at 5 am, ready to watch the sunrise over Mt. Rainier. But they were foiled, because the sun rose in the wrong part of the sky! Or was it that they should have watched the sun set over Mt. Rainier? |
But at least they had a chance to see the Alpen glow, which inspired Rebecca to write an award-winning poem (Oh, the pink! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh, the pink!). |
