  1. Graduate Research Assistant – Machine Learning Research Lab, Department of Computer Science, ASU
    (January 2009 – Present)

    Description: I am presently working as a Research Assistant under Dr. Jeiping Ye on various various classification techniques for Alzheimer's disease.Some of the topics that I have worked on are multi class classification using DAG approach, classification of AD data using Canonical Correlation Analysis, feature selection using CCA and Sparse Logistic Regression.
  2. Graduate Assistant- Department of Mathematics and Statistics, ASU

    Description: Development and design of the main website and other online activities of the department.Main responsiblity was transferring the department website to a CMS ( Drupal ),setting up Drupal and development of core sections of the website.
  3. Web Developer- Memorial Union, ASU

    Description: Maintenance and development of the website of the main eatery at ASU. Work involved from designing new web interfaces to making Flash advertisements for promotion of the upcoming events.

Internships

  1. Summer Internship (May 2008 – August 2008) at SAP Labs, Palo Alto Advanced Development and Prototyping Team

    Description: Researched in a potential universal JavaScript framework that would allow SAP to port its applications to various Desktop widget engines like Windows Vista Sidebar and Yahoo Widget Engine.Also developed a REST based API allowing developers to easily update their widgets without breaking the widget experience for its users.[report]
  2. Final Semester Internship,(Jan 2007 -April 2007) at Language Technologies Research Center, IIIT Hyderabad, India

    Description: Designed and prototyped a language focussed crawler that can selectively crawl for web pages in a particular language.
  3. Research Internship (June 2006-July 2006) at DA-IICT, India

    Description: Explored the PageRank algorithm used by Search Engines and carried out research in new Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques to help a local startup ‘Juriscape’ improve their client’s website rankings.
  4. Rural Internship ( May 2004-July 2004 ) at NGO,Thawa,Gujarat

    Description: Experiencing the daily life of villagers in the Thawa district of Gujarat with the aim to understand how to envision technology to benefit the masses.
