Exploring new media with a classic foundation...

Blending Past and Present
Today's journalism requires a mastery of new technology. However, technology can sometimes blind us to the things that are truly important. I believe that new media is exploring a realm that is pertinent to today, however, I caution it to not lose sight of the history the made journalism what it is today.

That is why I am exploring new media after already acquiring a background in journalism from one of the best schools in the country. To know where we are going, we first have to know where we have been. I am excited about the future, but won't forget the past.

Straight Forward

I didn't know I wanted to be a journalist when I entered college. I originally considered justice studies and psychology. I entered the field during the second semester of my freshman year and never looked back. I immediately enrolled in a 4-year combined master's B.A. program and began pursing competitive internships.

I love this field, and I am immersing myself in it daily.
