Introduction


Saman Golestan is a multimedia journalist at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. Currently he is in his junior year and has one more year until graduation with a BA in journalism and political science. He has worked with many political campaigns across the spectrum and has experience with national political affairs which is an area of interest for his news writing and reporting. Saman specializes in broadcast journalism. He has training in writing includes newspaper writing, online writing and broadcast script writing. He specializes in broadcast non-linear editing on Avid and Final Cut Pro. Saman has worked with sandard definition DV tapes and High Definition Sony XDcam cameras.

He has exerperience working at KASC 1260AM where he edited, reported and anchored the flagship nightly news program. This fall he will be interning at ABC 15 television in Phoenix Arizona.

Saman's main interests lies in political and legal reporting on the local and national level. International issues and affairs are also specialties of Saman's reporting. Saman has traveled to some of the world's hotspots including:England, Spain, France, Costa Rica,Iran, Japan and the Caribbean.
