My name is Sebastian Maldonado. I graduated at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in December with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. I have an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from the City University of New York, Borough of Manhattan Community College.
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York on October 5, 1986, I was born in a family of sports fans dating back to my great-grandmother, an avid Yankee fan who saw Babe Ruth in 1922. It was only natural that I followed suit. Throughout my life, I have always been involved in sports. I was such a sport aficionado that at age five I was able to say "Dikembe Mutombo" correctly as well as knowing his position and the NBA team (Denver Nuggets) he played on. I started playing baseball when I was six and made it on a traveling team in Division-A Baseball. I also played basketball and football as a kid and still continue playing whenver I can.
My life-long love for sports has developed into covering and analyzing sports. Writing about sports is my passion and favorite past time. Thanks to my blogs and the Bleacher Report, I now have that opportunity.
