Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Sheila naturally had an interest in the entertainment industry. She performed in several talent shows and musicals as a teen, which influenced her passion of being a part of creating and producing inspirational stories.

She played roles, acting, singing and dancing in musicals such as Fiddler on the Roof and an original musical created and produced by her local church. She was also asked to sing the Star Spangled Banner at a CIF Basketball game at her high school.

She also participated in high school sports such as soccer, track and field and softball, and led her softball team as the Frosh-Soph and Junior Varsity Captain.

Giving back to the community has also played a large part in her life during her time at Arizona State. She has been involved in several philanthropic events with her sorority, Pi Beta Phi. She is involved in promoting literacy at local Phoenix schools by reading with elementary school children and she has also helped raise money for organizations such as Relay for Life and Champions Are Readers.

Interested in television production and entertainment news, Sheila has taken advantage of the many benefits offered at the Walter Cronkite School. Whether it is in front of or behind the camera, Sheila has developed many skills that surround this type of work in and out of school.
