
Salvador is a senior at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. He is working toward his master's degree in journalism with a specialization in business reporting.
Salvador has worked for many news organizations since attending ASU, including the Los Angeles Times, the Houston Chronicle, the Arizona Republic and the Arizona Capitol Times. Salvador was selected as a 2011 Chips Quinn Scholar, and in 2010 he was chosen to participate in the New York Times Student Journalism Institute in Tucson, Ariz.
In 2012, Salvador will intern for the Boston Globe as a business reporter in the summer, and he will also report for Cronkite News Service, the Cronkite School's news wire, out of its Washington, D.C., bureau.
Salvador began his journalism career as a junior in high school when he joined Cypress Ridge High School's RamPage staff. Since then, Salvador has covered business, political and breaking news as well as written feature and enterprise stories. Salvador also has experience editing copy, shooting video and taking pictures, and he is also proficient at Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Final Cut, Wordpress and HTML.
