Sierpinski Tetrahedra against Atlantic Surf
at Yamato in Boca Raton

I built this family of Sierpinski Tetrahedra especially to set against the ocean while on a planned visit to Boca Raton in July of 2002. Seen up-close, the paint is a very light blue with a lot of iridescents included in the mixture. The iridescents aren't obvious when looking at the structures up close, but perhaps they allowed the tetrahedrons to capture reflections and better mirror the tones of the environment.

This child was walking down the beach with her father, and they stopped to talk. Her father gave permission for use of these photographs on my website.

There is a paraglider in the background in all three of the above photos, although it is necessary to enlarge the first two in order to see it.
