This course presents a survey of the major developments in science and technology during the last 300 years, beginning with the end of the Scientific Revolution in 1687 and continuing to the present day. Its purpose is to show how rapidly science and technology have advanced during this relatively short historical period and to try to understand the reasons for their extraordinary success.
