Xiaolong (also goes by "Jeff") received his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications(BUPT), and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University. His research interests branch across Artificial Intelligence and human perception, including pattern recognition in machine vision, image understanding and haptics. He also enjoys teaching. Besides his teaching duty in ASU, he had mentored at and consulted several K-12 training programs with a STEM emphasis. He's fond of mountaineering, NPR and blues.
