AME 598: System Modeling (12185)

focuses on fundamental methodology for integrating reduction and form construction processes with computational modeling within the context of experiential media systems. We will learn how to develop representations of mediated experiences and verify the representation in a systematic manner. We will also explore how computational processes (calculations of correlation, prediction, recommendation) can reveal underlying structures of the experience and improve system and user performance. Individual and team projects form an important part of the course. This course requires a prerequisite course (AME Experiential Media Methodology and Theory) or instructor permission.
