Jan 2021: PI, Department of Energy Project on AI: Artificial Intelligence for Robust Integration of AMI and PMU Data to Significantly Boost Renewable Penetration.

Dec 2020: Postdoc Position Arizona State University and the University of Washington have a joint opening for a full-time postdoctoral scholar. The postdoc will work with me and Prof. Baosen Zhang on the broad topic of machine learning for power systems operation. The anticipated start time is the spring or summer of 2021. Dec 2018: Winner Award (Award Trophy): Our initiative on "DATE: Data Analytics Tools for Electric-Vehicle Solutions" was awarded the Chunhui Winner Award Cup in the International Competition on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Area: Renewable Integration.

Nov 2017: Best Paper Award (Award Certificate): Our paper on "Electric Vehicle Robot-based TestBed for Future Grid's Evaluation" was awarded the Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Energy Internet and Energy System Integration.

Oct 2016: Best Paper Award (Award Certificate): Our paper on "Data-driven outage detection and identification" ranked the first with a Gold Best Paper award at the International Conference on Probabilistic Methods Applied to Power Systems.


I am looking for postdoctoral and Ph.D. students with self-motivation and strong interests in interdisciplinary research of smart grid, renewable integration, and machine learning. ASU is the lead university in the Power Systems Engineering Research Center (PSERC), which includes 13 universities and 39 industrial members. U.S. News & World Report ranked ASU No. 1 among the "Most Innovative Schools" in America for 2015 and 2016. Its ECEE department is ranked 27th in the U.S. in 2017.
