Alberto Álvaro Ríos

Alberto Ríos, born in Nogales, AZ, is the author of ten books of poetry, three collections of short stories, and a memoir about growing up on the border called Capirotada. National Book Award finalist and recipient of the Western Literature Association Distinguished Achievement Award, Ríos has an extensive record of public art and outreach service, and has taught at Arizona State University for over 30 years.
