It's you!  Who do you want to be?  Think this out, and take a good photograph.  Author photos are normally black and white, which often takes some extra time in processing.

• ADVICE. The norm is a headshot, but within this proscription there is a great deal of variance.  If you don't have a photographer friend, go to a professional.  It's worth the trouble.  But bring along a pile of books with author photos that you like.
