Spring 2003, Daniel Gilfillan

The primary means of online communication in this course is e-mail, assisted by a Blackboard discussion list:

Enter Blackboard Here
(you will need to use your ASURITE ID & Password)

E-Mail the Instructor (Daniel Gilfillan): dgilfil@asu.edu

For help with e-mail in general or to set up a university e-mail account, check out the information on the Computer Accounts website.

Blackboard Discussion Forum

I have set up a Blackboard course site solely to use the Discussion Board features for our class. There will be no other information posted to the site beyond the contributions we all make toward the discussion forum.

Parameters for posting:

We will use the Discussion Board for postings related to larger questions that come from in-class discussion and readings, as well as an avenue to prepare for class discussion.

You may post:

  • responses to questions stemming from our readings, films that I post
  • reading responses (reactions, questions to ideas that you need more help in comprehending, &c.)
  • recommendations for interesting websites, films and books related to the course
  • I may also have you post your short reviews here for others in the class to enjoy

Remember: undergraduate students are required to make at least one substantive post to the forum.
