Feng Wang, Ph.D.

Feng Wang, Ph.D.
fwang25@asu.edu
Feng Wang earned her Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, in 2005. She came to the States to pursue her doctorate after receiving her M.S. in computer science in 1999 from Peking University and her B.S. in computer science from Wuhan University in China. She joined ASU’s New College as a tenure-tracked faculty in 2007.

Dr. Wang’s research interests are a reflection of her expertise and grounding in computer science. Her focus is on wireless and sensor networks, data center security and management, online social networks, and computational biology, and she has published more than 30 refereed articles on these areas of interest in the leading journals and conferences. At ASU’s West campus, Dr. Wang teaches undergraduate courses in wireless networks, network security, system programming, data structures and algorithms, and distributed systems.

Haiyan Wang, Ph.D.

Haiyan Wang, Ph.D.
haiyan.wang@asu.edu
Haiyan Wang earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics at Northwest Normal University (China) and his master’s in applied mathematics at Ocean University of China. In 1997 he completed his Ph.D. in mathematics, while also earning an M.S. in computer science, at Michigan State University. After several years spent working as a software engineer for Information Graphics Corp., Dr. Wang accepted a faculty position with the University of Central Arkansas. He came to ASU’s West campus in 2005.

Dr. Wang’s research interests include applied mathematics, differential equations, and mathematical biology. His recent research focuses on reaction-diffusion equations, integral equations with applications in population biology and epidemiology, and mathematical modeling of calcium regulations in cell biology. Dr. Wang has had numerous articles published in scholarly journals including Journal of Differential Equations, Mathematical Biosciences, and Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems B. His research papers have been frequently cited by other researchers. He also has presented his work at conferences across the United States and in international settings including China and France.
