This page lists the options for purchasing a textbook
and online HW system.

The 15th edition etext and the HW system is provided
free of charge from our class Canvas page.

The instructions for accessing the etext and the HW
system are now provided by Pearson. Here is that link:

How to Access the HW System with Etext

During the sign-up process, you will be prompted to
enter your ASU Posting ID. Be sure to enter your
correct ASU Posting ID, which is 4 digits, followed
by a hyphen, followed by 3 digits. If you do not
enter the correct ASU Posting ID, you will never
get credit for your work at Mastering Physics.

What if I don't know my ASU Posting ID?

Once you are within the HW System, access the
etext by selected Pearson eText from the menu on
the left-hand side of the page.

If you would like a hardcopy textbook, then
THE LOOSELEAF EDITION OF OUR TEXTBOOK IS STRONGLY
RECOMMENDED. Once you are inside your MP account
for our class, then select "eText" from the menu
on the left-hand border. The resulting eText page
then gives you the

opportunity to purchase the unbound edition

for $50 with free ground shipping. The shipping
may take two weeks, so purchase your looseleaf
edition as soon as possible. Until it arrives,
just read from the etext provided by MP. Once your
looseleaf edition arrives, I suggest putting it
into three separate 3-ring binders, one for
Mechanics (121), one for E&M (131), and one for
Thermodynamics and Modern Physics. I also suggest
that you get a small 3-ring binder, suitable for
one chapter at a time. Bring this small binder
with you to class, and make notes in the margins
when questions that you have about the reading
are answered during our lecture class.
Thanks much. GBA
