The principal purpose of the Sample Final Exam is to install the WebAssign Lockdown Browser on your Windows or Mac operating system in preparation for our PHY101 Final Exam. BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS HERE. 1) At WebAssign, open "REQUIRED Sample Final Exam." DO NOT choose Launch LockDown Browser. 2) Underneath "LockDown Browser Required" click on "LockDown Browser Help". 3) Underneath "Need to Install LockDown Browser?", download either the "Windows installation file" or the "Mac OS X 10.6 or later installation file", depending on your operating system. 4) Once the installation file is downloaded open it and allow it to install the LockDown browser on your computer (i.e. Save the file and then double-click the file within the downloads button of your browser). IF YOU ARE IN A ZOOM MEETING WHILE DOING THIS, STOP HERE. Return and finish after your Zoom meeting is over. 5) Once installation of the LockDown Browser is finished, then click "Launch LockDown Browser". Then click Open Link, Yes, Allow as needed. The LockDown Browser will force you to close any and all instances of Zoom that might be running on your computer. This is why you will need two devices for taking our PHY101 Final Exam (for most students the second device will be your phone). 6) You are now returned to the Course Home page. Re-open the Sample Final Exam for Practice. 7) Answer the REQUIRED MC question in the Sample Exam for Practice. Then, if you like, attempt any or all of the three available practice questions for the final. As many as 10 extra credit HW points are available. Once you have answered all the practice exam questions (or used up the allowed 3 tries for each question), then you can return to your WebAssign home page. Many thanks. GBA If you have trouble installing the WebAssign Lockdown Browser, PLEASE do not send email to your instructor or to your TA. No one in physics can help you. You will have to get help from ASU IT or else from WebAssign. If, for any reason, you cannot successfully install the WebAssign Lockdown Browser on your system, then you will need to take the on-paper version of the final exam in our classroom. Thanks, GBA.
