Rick,

Here are three new pics after, I put the springs back under the axles and replaced the 900/16s with a set of used 245/16 Michelin LTX M/S radials. What a pleasant ride now. Step 2 is tomorrow when it goes on a rack to drain all cases looking for wear and tear. I already know the rear end has a lot of play. A friend of mine has a shop which spec. in suspensions and drivetrains and wants to help. I will let you know how it goes. ...

Hi Richard,

Well here it is May day, this is where I am today...heading to the welding shop for a full frame boxing... I have been replacing seats and getting the running gear sound. I had to replace some elements in the tranny, but no big problem. I have a whine in it at speed which I haven't solved yet. It is not a stressful sound, just a whine which stops when I let off on the gas... just feels as if there is some play somewhere. I am going to take the front drive shaft off and try to see if the whine is in the front transfer case. If you have any ideas please let me know. I have a friend who worked on this type of truck for years, he drove it and can't guess where it is.

More later
