After the interview K the mother and me stayed talking and socializing. We were talking about how one starts to lose their culture in the United States and how there is lost of respect to people especially people older than yourself. I was shown around the house and saw the decorations of the kitchen. It had a real southwestern feel to it. The funny part is that it reminds you of a desert and not a Caribbean island.
The father left the room and K escorted me out the house. They are real nice people and I loved the accent they have.
In Trinidad and Tobago they speak English influenced from the British. I loved their accent. It was like talking to someone from Great Britain with a Jamaican accent. It made it so unique to hear an accent that I had not been exposed to before.
