The Bartoli Family

I do not really know much about my family history except from reading the book that my father’s father lent to him, which contains information about the Bartolis.  My great-grandparents came directly from Italy into America.  I know that they began their life on the east coast, where my father’s aunt and cousin still live today.  I am not sure and neither is my father about how they happened to make into Arizona.  He does however know that his grandparents did not move to Arizona, only his father and one of his uncles did.

The object that I brought to class to represent my family is the Bartoli Family Book.  The cover shows the crest of the Bartoli Family and introduction gives a little bit of a history of where the name Bartoli comes from.  The actually opening page says “The Amazing Story of The Bartolis in America” which pretty much explains the book itself.

One amazing thing that I learned from having the opportunity to have this book was that there was still a receipt from when my father’s uncle purchased the book.  The family had to give all of the information to a company then they put it all together to what you see today.  There is a list of all the known family members' addresses, which I am more than certain must be incorrect now.  The only thing that it does not have is a family tree which would be a little more helpful in understanding who my ancestors are.  It does however have a section where you can fill in a family tree, just unfortunately nobody alive in the Bartoli family now has that information.
