-inform audience of international migration issues, and ethnic
relations in Europe.

-”The Centre for Eauropen Migration and Ethnic Studies operated
between 1998 and 2002, specializing in policy-relevant research,
information, and publishing on international migration, relations,
and related topics in Western, Central, and Eastern Europe.”

-issues of migration and responses of societies that they immigrate
to, and the responses of the societies who the immigrants migrate
to.

-Based on faculty research, Journal articles (i.e. Research in
Migration and Ethnic relations), funded by the EU, organize
seminars, lectures, conferences, websites to share information.
Focus on family policy and family relations within European context.

-I had a really hard time with this, it seemed that none of the
databases had articles, I even just surfed the internet and I still
could not find a major article
L. Any other issues of interest about the agency?
-interested in researching multiculturalism, ethnic conflict, ethnic
exclusionism, nationalism, and racism issues.
M. Is the agency noticeably pro or con immigration? (You may need to
determine this from “reading around” in its position papers, press
releases, news reports, etc)
-This organization seems for the most part pro immigration.
Researchers are tying to understand how the societies in which the
European immigrants migrate to respond, and they try to understand
the point of view of the immigrants also.
