Migrants in the City

cruzando.jpg

The border is zone of interaction where two  countries come together, intersect, butt up  against or bleed into each other--whether in  an easy blend or a contentious edginess.  Social/geographical ÒborderÓ spaces like this  can readily be found throughout  metropolitan Phoenix.

Students took a quick fieldtrip to one such border in the city, immersed themselves there, and briefly reported their observations on the impact of migrants in the city in light of what they've learned about migration.
