Mahoney Family Crest
My family crest
is a symbol of my family heritage derived from our native province of
Munster, a small county in the country of Ireland. The Mahoney coat of
arms tells a story of battle and loyalty, earned from my ancestors. The
crest tells us that my family consisted of great warriors and chiefs as
demonstrated from the symbols of lions. The snakes show signs of great
fertility and wisdom. The helmet located at the top is a heraldic charge
and stands for a wise defense and caution of others. Finally the shield
as a whole the color strip of red represents achievement in battle and
that my family was a strong authority figure.
