Reach into the life of Bill Mahoney as he
explores new worlds of culture, life, work and misinterpretations of
foreign migration.
"l was once a person who was very right winged and conservative about migration topics. I would see Mexicans on the news caught by border patrol and think to myself, Glad they caught them- a few more jobs saved for Americans." Today after a semester of my Migration and Culture class I have opened my eyes to a new way of thinking. I believe that those crossing the border are only looking for a new life out of poverty and starvation. If they don't come here to the U.S. they will starve because of the lack of work in Mexico. This class has helped me experience first hand the problems in Mexico and situations that cause people to look for better lives.
