My Mom side of the family name is
Clyburn/ Cliburn / Claburn / Cliborn /my family came from England.
William Clyburn is the first name that my mother recalls hearing and he was
at least 8 generations back. (Angela Claire (Clyburn) Butler, some distant
relative from back East Virginia traced us in America as Far as 1635. But
according to my mother grandfather my family came over on the Mayflower. (The man on the bottom right is William Clyburn) This is a picture of my grandma and grandpa on my fathers side. On my Fathers, my Grandmother Joni's side, her Father: The McCreadys before
my great-grandfather David McCready came from Ireland (mid to late 1800's),
from County Cork. My grandmothers mother, The Hespens before my
great-grandmother Minnie came from Germany (Minnie's father) and her mother
(Fredrich) came from Bohemia, which is now part of the Czech republic. On my Fathers side, my grandfather’s family, has resided in the same town
that I lived in for my entire life, we can date back at least a hundred
years that our family has resided in Eureka, or some of the mining towns
outside nearby. But about a hundred years ago a huge flood came and wiped
out Eureka, so the records are difficult to find. It turns out that the
McKay family migrated from Scotland nobody is for sure of the exact date,
but they know that we arrived in Canada and come out to the wild west and
now most of our family is still residing in California and Nevada. |
