money
After many months of interviews my family got an opportunity
to come to the United States from Croatia. We came here five years ago as
refugees looking for better life. We did not bring many things with us,
because we were provided with everything that we needed. But one thing
that my mom has kept all this time is a collection of old Yugoslavian
money. She has been collecting it for ever twenty years This money is not
worth anything anymore, but it means a lot to my mom. Even though she
stopped collecting the money, she will never get rid of it. She says that
it reminds her of our home country and where she came from.
