             For me, it was not hard to figure out why people migrate because I am an immigrant myself. There are many reasons why people migrate and it is different for everyone. For me it was because of the war. From the migration/culture  class I learned that many people migrate because of the economic and political situations in their home countries. Economic drawbacks and poverty usually force them to leave their homes in search of jobs and healthier environment to raise their children in.  Political situation often has impact on many who were active in political parties which might cause them to seek asylum in another country.
