This picture represents the legacy of some of my ancestors' forced immigration. This is a photograpgh of my great, great, great, grandfather, Osborne Fisher, a slave master in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

Osborne Fisher was half Choctaw and half Caucasian. The Choctaw nation, from Mississippi, was relocated to Oklahoma along with four other Indian nations. My great, great, grandmother Julie was his daughter, a slave born of his slave cook. It is historically documented that most slaves were from west Africa. Part of my ancestors were forced to emigrate, while others came to find life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
