Bio

                My name is Jay Gehrke and I am a student at Arizona State University’s West Campus.  I am 26 years old, single and live in Scottsdale, Arizona.  I was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota and moved to Arizona in the fall of 1996 to attend ASU.  For two years I attended ASU’s main campus and was a member of the baseball team.  My junior year I transferred to Pepperdine University in Malibu, California where I also played baseball.  Following my junior year I was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the first round of the Major League Baseball draft and signed to play for them.  I played professional baseball for five years until my career was cut short by injuries.  I am now returning to school to finish my degree in International Business.  I am taking this class to fulfill my upper division cultural diversity requirements.
