Border Justice

The mending wall out in the courtyard was a scene that attracted everyone who walked by.  It was a 110 foot wall that was composed by different artists showing the struggles Mexican Americans faced crossing the border.  This wall was very controversial to many people.  Many people thought of this wall as a symbol supporting the migrants to run across the border and get a free ride, but that was not the intention of this wall.  This wall was built to make people aware of the migrants that were dying on the border.

The next thing I attended was the petitions along the east wall.  I signed a petition that voted against the anti-immigration bill.  Many people are against immigrants having constitutional rights in the US.  This petition votes against that.  This petition supports immigrants to have rights in the US.  The only reason I signed this petition was to protect immigrants from getting hurt along the borders and to have controlled watch on the borders.  Whether they are immigrants or not, they are still human beings and deserve to have the same human rights as anyone else does.
