Julie's open letter

My eyes have been truly opened.  Being a business major one would think, at least me, why would I have to take a migration class and how does this pertain to what I'm going to be doing in my future job.  Well I'm here to tell you that learning about migration has proven to me that all of these elective courses the University make you take to graduate is truly for a reason.

The main thought I'm leaving this class with is one of understanding of migrants; their hardships,  and the determination for a better life.  So many of us take for granted how fortunate we are to be living in such a great country which offers so much; hopes, dreams and the help to attain all of them.  I've read and seen so many stories of hardship this semester it really touched my heart in the way of feeling how proud and fortunate I am to be an American.
