Family ObjectIn doing some research on my family tree I realize that my family dates back five to six generations United States living, on my mother’s side. On my fathers side there was never really a relationship with any of his family, he never know knew his father. My Grandfathers family goes back six generations U.S. mostly living in the Mid-West. On my Grandmothers side we have to go back five generations until we find some one from another country, who is Grandma Willamina who emigrated from Germany. I had never known before this where any of my family had come from. We have not really paid attention as a whole family to much to our past. Not only has this assignment has opened my eyes to my families past, but has instigated my Grandma, Barbra Hightower, to do extensive research to find about more about our family tree.
It's a little blurry, but these are my Great Grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Hightower. Grandpa Hightower is unfortunately no longer with us, but Grandma Hightower is going strong at the age of 87 and resides in Alameda, CA. Picture and Story by Nick Beal
