Family Object

My article about my family history is the ship manifest of the ship in which my great grandfather, Ubaldo Mariani, came to America.  He had two sisters who had come to America prior to my great grandfather.  They were both married and the husband of one of his sisters sponsored Ubaldo to come from Costaccia, Italy.  He was only 17 years old when he left from the port town of Havre, France.  He arrived on Ellis Island on September 17, 1912.  He made his way to Iron Mountain, Michigan where he worked in an iron ore mine.  Since that time our family has set up roots in mainly Minnesota, Arizona, and California.
