family object

Migration Object and Write-up

            I couldn’t bring my family object into class, because it is food.  An object that describes my family is pizza.  My family is Italian, and that is our favorite food.  My grandfather makes his own homemade pizza.  The whole family looks forward to eating his pizza everytime we see him.  My whole family lives in New York, and they never migrated outside there, except for me.  I just moved out to AZ about a year and a half ago.  My grandparent’s parents are the ones that migrated her from Italy, but I was never fortunate enough to get to meet them.  My family does not speak Italian fluently, but we do live by Italian traditions, and customs, and Italian food will be the only thing cooking at family gatherings, along with my grandparent’s favorite song, “That’s Amore”.  Poppy’s pizza is so delicious; if he lived closer I would have brought enough in for everyone in class to try.  Something that is entertaining and humorous about my family is that my grandfather’s cousin is related to one of the Lollipop kids on the Wizard of Oz.
