Brief Biography

    My name is John S. Meade IV and I am a junior at Florida Atlantic University.  I am currently majoring in international politics and I am also pursuing minors in history and photography.  I decided to participate in Semester at Sea because it provided me with the best opportunity I had ever heard of to experience the world. 

     I was born and raised in south Florida.  I became interested in politics in high school and decided to pursue it seriously in college.  I think this semester abroad has provided me with an amazing oportunity to broaden my outlook on the world.  Hopefully my experiences this fall will influence my studies in politics.
   
     My other passion in recent years has been photography.  This trip has been a fantastic time for picture taking and I think my photos do a good job of backing up my ethnographic work.
