Corey's Biography
I
am a
21 year old student at the University
of Miami in Coral Gables,
Florida,
originally from Atlanta, Ga. I
am pursuing a triple major in International
Studies/Latin American Studies/Geography and a minor in
Spanish
Language and
Literature. Within the
International
Studies major, my regional focus is East Asia.
I will be graduating at the end of the
summer, 1 year ahead of schedule. I
am
currently applying to PHD Programs in Anthropology at
UCLA, UCSD, USC,
NYU,
Tulane, & Hawaii. I have the opportunity to join
the Peace
Corps in August upon graduation for a 2 year stint in Fiji
working
with HIV/AIDS. Next
semester I will be
participating in the ASAA program through the East WestCenter
in Washington DC
and the University
of Hawaii. Here I will be attempting to
bridge the gap
between western and eastern culture though intensely
focused coursework. I enjoy
movies, music, and travel and much
prefer the nomadic lifestyle. I hope to one day
become a
university professor.
