My name is Akesha Day and I attend ASUWEST in Phoenix Arizona. I'm a senior and my major is administration of justice and my minor is psychology. I'm was born and raised here in Phoenix, so I have seen the many changes in the city.

Michael Johnson retired from the Police Department in 1995 after serving 21 years as a police officer, community relations officer and detective and now is president and chief executive of Nkosi Inc., a security service. He served on the South Mountain Village Planning Committee and the Rio Salado Advisory Committee.

My class participated in landscaping, and roofing two homes for the Habitat for Humanity. The Habitat for Humanity, Valley of the Sun builds affordable housing and community partnership to promote spiritual values and individual responsibility. It was founded in 1987, and they have completed over 220 homes in the metro Phoenix area and other areas in the valley. Take a look at the photos that were taken during our adventure!
