BIOGRAPHY/MEMORY MAP

I was born in Chicago, Il.  My family lived in the area until I was twelve years old.  We relocated to Arizona 10 days before my thirteenth birthday.  I graduated from Alhambra High School in Phoenix and I am now working toward a bachelors degree in Geography at Arizona State University in Tempe.

My memory map depicts the neighborhood I lived in from ages six to twelve in Skokie, Illinois.  Skokie is located in suburban Chicago.   Several important locations are highlighted on this map.  Oakton Park was a place I spent nearly every day during summers, including all of my little league game and the annual “County Fair” that was held just before school resumed for the fall.  Also included on the map is Knox Avenue, on which my apartment building was located.  A car here hit me during a game of “tag” just before my eighth birthday.  Luckily the accident was not serious.  Other important, highlighted locations include the bus stop where I’d catch the bus to Edison School, and the apartment building behind the one I lived in that my cousins and I believed to be haunted because of its creepy, catacomb-like hallways.
