ALL ABOUT ME

My name is Leslie Short and I am a senior at Arizona State University West.  I attend school full time and have a great job working part time for an attorney. In December I will be graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology.  After I graduate I plan to attend graduate school in Boston and to get my Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling.  From there I plan to move on to bigger and better things.  I am not exactly sure what that will consist of, but hopefully it will be accomplishing my long list of dreams and goals.  It will be fun and exciting to see what will happen in the future and where my life will take me.  I only hope it includes traveling to a vast variety of exotic places and  giving me plenty of opportunities to play and enjoy life.

This summer I will be heading off to Africa to spend two months in Uganda.  I will be working with other college students for KISCHO, Kira Sub-County Community Health Organization, which is a grass-roots partnership between the community of Kira and United States college students to help empower the local people.  Anyone looking to donate to a good cause I know just the perfect organization!  All you have to do is send me an email.  :)  Or if you are interested in volunteering you can find out more about this exciting and educational program by visiting: http://web.mit.edu/~cmgray/www/kischo/html

I enjoy running (or any form of exercise), golfing, and basically anything outdoors.  I especially look forward to the summers when I can practice up on my wakeboarding skills and of course get a tan.  However, my main love is spending time with my nine nieces and five nephews.  Yes, I am a sucker when it comes to giving them what they want and playing by their rules.  But of course I don’t mind because with six other sisters to compete with I have to do something to maintain my “favorite aunt” status! :)
