About the Authors
CRAIG
WINSTON LeCROY, M.S.W., PH.D.,
is a professor at Arizona State University
in the Tucson component of the School of Social Work. He has published
widely in the areas of children's mental health, social skills training, risk
and needs assessment with juvenile
offenders, and adolescent treatment and program evaluation. His books
include Social Skills Training for Children and Youth, Case Studies in Social
Work Practice, Handbook of Child and Adolescent Treatment Manuals, and Human
Behavior in the Social Environment: A Multidimensional Perspective.
JANICE
DALEY, M.S.W., is a Program
Director at Child & Family Resources in Tucson, Arizona. She began to
develop and conduct girls' groups in 1996 as part of the Youth Plus:
Positive Socialization for Youth substance abuse prevention project and has overseen
program development and growth since that time. She has hired and trained
over one hundred facilitators to work with girls' groups, and is continually
inspired by the strength, courage, and resiliency of facilitators and
participants alike. She has collaborated with Dr. LeCroy on several
writing projects.
