				Hello and welcome to GIT335: Computer System Technology! Please review each of the items below to learn more about the class.

				Discussion Board-

				Starting this week, there will be a question posted in the discussion forum every Wednesday. Please read it, think about it, and post your response. Here are some discussion board guidelines to follow:

				Lecture-

				This week you will be viewing my first lecture. Look for it inside the blue "Lectures" tab this Thursday afternoon. For more information on the lectures, please refer to the syllabus.

				Assignments-

				You have two assignments this week. The first is to create your own personal homepage inside of Blackboard. Using the links on the left side of the Blackboard screen, go to Tools -> Homepage. Include a photograph of yourself (please re-size the photo properly- see instructions in the Course Documents folder), and tell us a little about yourself. What is your major and what year are you? Do you enjoy using computers? What do you use them for? Finally, tell us your three favorite websites. Here is a link to follow for more help creating your website:

				The second assignment is another "getting to know you" assignment. Read the questions and answer them, then submit the assignment to me as a PDF document (see instructions for creating PDFs inside of "Course Documents").
