Spiro J. Maroulis


Bio

I am an Associate Professor and Associate Director of the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University.  Prior to coming to ASU, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Kellogg School of Management, and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Kellogg’s Ford Center for Global Citizenship. I received my PhD in Learning Sciences at Northwestern University, where I was part of the Center for Connected Learning and Computer-Based Modeling and the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems.  I received a Masters degree in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Duke University. 


My professional experience prior to entering academia includes cofounding PracticeFields, a corporate education and consulting company that creates computer simulations and interactive board games of business problems, as well as working for Red Hat Software and Anderson Consulting (now Accenture).
