Field of Research     AI + Robotics
Focus Areas       Sequential Decision Making Under Uncertainty, Integrated Task and Motion Planning, Mobile Manipulation, Generalized Planning, Knowledge Representation, Probabilistic Programming, Probabilistic Inference and Machine Learning

My research objective is to understand the key principles required to develop AI agents that assist humans in their daily lives. My research group develops new formal frameworks, algorithms and implementations for planning and acting efficiently under uncertainty. I am particularly interested in algorithms for computing safe and reliable AI behavior. This includes hierarchical abstractions for computing and explaining goal-directed agent behavior, as well as methods for learning generalizable knowledge that would help the AI system solve similar problems more efficiently.

For more about my research in AI and robotics, check out my group's webpage here.

Student Opportunities    I am looking for highly motivated students to join my research group. If this could be you, send me an email with a CV and a brief note about your research interests.
