More About Me

About Me

I am an Astrophysics PhD student at Arizona State University where I study galaxy evolution. My advisors are Professors Sanchayeeta Borthakur and Rogier Windhorst. Prior to my time at ASU, I graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Astronomy and Astrophysics. Outside of research, I enjoy trail running, biking, and cheering on the Seattle Seahawks and the Portland Trail Blazers.

My Research

I am currently working on the COS-IGrM project, which used the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph on the Hubble Space Telescope to observe 18 quasars behind galaxy groups. This allows us to use absorption spectroscopy to probe the gas inside the galaxy groups, which we call the intragroup medium (IGrM). I also use ground based observations using the MMT Observatory and the Gemini Observatory to further understand these galaxy groups.

I am also using the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT) to create U-band mosaics of the COSMOS field. These ground based mosaics are part of the UVCANDELS program to study galaxy assembly in preparation for JWST.

For more information, see my CV.

Presentations

I presented a poster at the 234th AAS meeting, which can be found here.
