2)    As a group, discuss the use of emotional appeal.  Use the folowing as your criteria:
 

• Emotional appeals are powerful tools for influencing what people think and believe.
• Emotions can be used to establish a bond between you and readers.
• Emotion is often laid atop logical propositions to make them stronger or more memorable.
• Humor can put your audience at ease.
