myASU

Goal:    to ensure the correct use of myASU
Time:    15 minutes

We will rely on myASU for communication that is public, since myASU is a bulletin board and everything you post can be seen by everyone on the board. For example, we will post our working drafts to myASU so that classmates can respond with constructive comments. It is crucial to your grade that you learn how to navigate this board, including how to read files and post files.

Instructions:
1. Click on each button on the left-hand side of the myASU screen.
2. View the myASU tutorials page at http://asuonline.asu.edu/StudentSupport/Tutorials6/index.cfm
3. Write a paragraph describing your expectations for using myASU this semester.

An Important Recommendation:
We all know that computer glitches happen. I encourage you to do your work in a Word file, save it, then cut and paste into myASU. First, you then have clear records of the work you have done so if your post gets lost you can re-post. Second, if your connection gets cut off at any point it is possible that you could lose all of your work if you are typing directly into myASU, whereas if you work in Word it will be saved.
