Workshopping in
Microsoft Word
Goal: to make peer review comments while learning and practicing
important word processing software
Time: 30 minutes per paper
Attach Your Name
to the Document
- Go to “Tools”
and pull down to “Options.”
- Choose “User
Information.”
- Fill in the
three spaces with correct information. (For “Address” give your email
address.)
Save the Document
- Save the document
onto your disc with a very simple title. Do not use spaces or non-alphabetic
characters.
- Make sure you
save it again after you are finished with your comments.
Review the Document
- Go to “View”
and pull down to “Toolbars” and choose “Reviewing.”
- To highlight
changes within the text, click on the “Track Changes” icon.
- To add a longer
comment select the portion of text you will comment on and click on the yellow
post-it note icon.
